Kvitka Farm · 251 Harbor Rd, Rye, New Hampshire
Join us for a cozy fall morning at the farm with coffee, snacks, and hands-on learning! We’ll walk you through how to dig, divide, and store dahlia tubers so you can confidently save your plants for next season.
Whether you’re growing your first dahlias or have a garden full of them, this workshop will help you make sense of what’s happening beneath the soil—and turn one season’s flowers into next year’s garden.
What you’ll learn
How to lift and clean dahlia clumps.
How to identify eyes and divide tubers.
What to keep and what to discard.
How to pack, label, and store your tubers over winter.
What to check during storage and how to prepare for spring.
Your ticket includes
Two hours of instruction and hands-on practice.
A dahlia clump to divide, with at least five viable tubers to take home.
Your own storage container, packing medium, and labels.
A printed winter-care guide.
Tools to use during the workshop.
Coffee and light snacks.
You’ll leave with your tubers packed in their own storage kit and the confidence to care for your dahlias through the winter.
What to bring
Dress warmly in layers and wear waterproof shoes or boots that can get muddy. Bring gardening gloves if you prefer—we’ll provide the workshop tools and materials.
No experience necessary. Space is limited to keep the workshop personal and allow time for individual guidance.
Reserve your spot and grow with us!
